Privacy for parents

Without an account, we do not ask for or collect anything that identifies your child. We do count visits. A parent account is optional and is described below.

What we do not collect

• No account is needed to use PrecisStudy Kids. We never ask for a child's email, birthday, last name or photo.
• No ads and no advertising trackers.
• Unless a parent signs in, nicknames, answers, scores and sticker progress are never sent to us. Please use a nickname, not a full name.

Analytics

• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool, to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It reports combined numbers such as page views, the type of device and browser, and load time.
• We use these numbers only to see whether the site works and which lessons get used. We do not use them to identify, follow or advertise to any child.
• Cloudflare, our host, also processes standard connection data, such as the IP address, to deliver and protect the site.

Parent account (optional)

• A parent or guardian can sign in with an emailed one-time link or with Google, so a family's progress is the same on every device. You must tick a box to confirm you are a parent or guardian before an account is created.
• We then store: the parent's email address, when they agreed, and for each child a nickname, grade, Sage's look, the grade, lessons and activities chosen for them, their daily play-time limit and how long they played today, stickers and word progress (which words were easy or tricky). Nothing else.
• We use this only to sync progress and show the parent progress review. We do not use it for ads, do not sell it, and do not share it, except with Cloudflare, which hosts the site and delivers the sign-in email, and Google, if you choose Google sign-in.
• Signing in sets one sign-in cookie (kept up to 30 days) so this device stays signed in. Signing out removes it.
• A parent can choose to set a password. We keep only a salted, one-way scrambled copy of it, never the password itself, and it is never included in the data you can download. You can remove it any time, and deleting your account removes it.
• From the Parent account page you can download everything we store, or delete your account. Deleting removes the account and every child's data from our servers right away. Data already on a device stays there until the browser's site data is cleared.
• A one-time sign-in link record (kept 15 minutes, includes the email it was sent to) and request counters that limit abuse (kept up to an hour) are the only other things we keep.

On the device

• Children's nicknames, chosen grade and lessons, play time, stickers, progress, the chosen grade and the voice setting are saved in this browser on this device. Clearing the browser's site data erases them (unless a parent account has saved a copy).
• The "Hear it" voice uses the speech built into the device. No audio is sent to us.

PrecisStudy Kids is separate from the main PrecisStudy site and shares no accounts or data with it. A parent account here is not a PrecisStudy account. Questions? Contact the PrecisStudy team through the main site.
